DR JULIEN FREITAG

Dr. Julien Freitag is an experienced musculoskeletal specialist and is a fellow of the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians. His practice is focused on the active management of musculoskeletal conditions including osteoarthritis and tendinopathy. Dr. Julien Freitag is an authority in the area of clinical regenerative musculoskeletal medicine and has published a number of articles, including those in peer-reviewed international journals. He has published articles relating to key topics of regenerative medicine and osteoarthritis management. Dr Freitag is a frequent contributor, and invited speaker, at local and international conferences. Dr Freitag is the Principal Clinical Investigator in a number of world leading research projects in the area of conservative management of osteoarthritis. He is a member of the International Cartilage Repair Society and the Australasian Society of Stem Cell Research.

 

 
Dr+Matt+Chamberlain

DR MATT CHAMBERLAIN

Dr Chamberlain is a Sports and Exercise Medicine physician. He completed his medical degree in 1998 at the University of Sydney and has a further degree in Clinical Epidemiology through the University of Newcastle. His clinical practice includes a mixture of sports and musculoskeletal medicine, as well as the holistic care of osteoarthritis at all levels.

He has worked extensively with Melbourne sporting terms and is the current team doctor for the Australian Dolphins swimming team and Melbourne Vixens Netball team. Dr Chamberlain is currently involved with osteoarthritis research as well looking at advanced MRI modalities in osteoarthritis.

MR ROSS WILLIAMS

Ross Williams is a Chartered Accountant with an MBA from RMIT in Melbourne. Ross has over 30 years of accounting and business experience and has worked for both large multinational/public companies as well as smaller family owned operations. Previously, Ross was the General Manager of HNA health network. At HNA he understood that many new interventions for musculoskeletal conditions could be applied, the need for new approaches to the treatment and management of degenerative conditions, and he wanted to be a part of a business that assisted physicians who explored this subject.

Ross has recently been work in high level strategic roles with a tertiary Medical group and a Sports Medicine start up clinic in regional Victoria

 

 
Michael Kenihan

MR MICHAEL KENIHAN

Michael studied Physiotherapy and has worked in multidisciplinary Sports Medicine for his entire career. He is a past Board Chair and CEO of Sports Medicine Australia. He has owned and operated Sports Medicine and Physio clinics for many years. His clinical interest was in knee injuries in sport and osteoarthritis.

With the above interests, he became involved as the General Manager at the Australian Osteoarthritis clinic in 2015. He has been instrumental in seeing the clinic build on the back of good science and great medicine. Having both a clinical and business background, he has assisted the Australian Osteoarthritis Clinic to implement best practice in all that the clinic does.

Ms Renee Castelluccio

Renee is Australian Osteoarthritis Clinic’s practice manager and one of our research nurses. Renee completed her nursing training in 2004 and worked primarily in regional hospitals until she moved to Melbourne in 2010. Once in Melbourne, she worked within some large medical franchises before moving into musculoskeletal medicine. She has been part of the team at Australian Osteoarthritis Clinic since 2014 and now leads our administration and nursing activities.

Renee has a special interest in leadership and teaching, especially within the field of boutique specialist medical practices. She enjoys the challenge of working within small multi-skilled and multidisciplinary teams where she balances the needs of a patient-centred approach while meeting best practice standards.
